You have reached the 1st Ward web page and I am Councilor John Sparace. I have set many goals and objectives for the 1st Ward which encompasses much of East Rome and Griffiss Business and Technology Park. I will strive to make your voice heard in the Common Council!

Special Interests and Concerns:
- Help to create a stable and expanded tax base
- Making the Ward a safer place to live through public safety awareness and active Neighborhood Watch programs.
- Economic development both traditional and non-traditional
- Improving the Wards infrastructure
- Moving the City forward as a whole
- Being a proactive voice for the people in Ward One
- Improved access to information and services

1st Ward meetings will be held on the last Thursday of each month beginning in September. They will be held at 6:30pm in the Staley Cafeteria.
